Mrs. Thana Simmons, Founder and Executive Director, Viola's House, Inc.

Mrs. Thana Simmons brings over 10 years experience in nonprofit and business administration. Having experienced pregnancy as a teenager herself, Mrs. Simmons wanted to find a way to help other girls and give them a place to turn to for help and support. She has organized annual conferences and health fairs for women to empower them on issues of health, wholeness, literacy, as well as various other topics. Mrs. Simmons was inspired to create Viola’s House by her work, passion, personal experience, and the need within the Dallas area.

Her goal is to emphasize the importance of community and support for pregnant teens. Mrs. Simmons has worked for several of the top Insurance Companies in the nation such as Zurich American Insurance Company, Bank of America and The Hartford Insurance Company as a commercial catastrophe adjuster and claims manager handling property and business interruption claims for top accounts in the insurance industry. She has also worked for several years in nonprofit for local churches in the Chicago area and now in the Texas area as a financial manager and administrator. Mrs. Simmons has served on the Board of Directors for a juvenile program in Chicago entitled, Project Reclamation and has volunteered relentlessly at homeless shelters ministering to those women and children in need.

Mrs. Simmons currently holds a license and ordination certificate in ministry which is recognized nationally. Mrs. Simmons also holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and is a certified Life Coach. She is a wife of 14 years and proud mother of three girls and currently resides in the Dallas area with her husband and children.
